hey there! i’m currently doing a project on the history of a block in vancouver chinatown, the block is pender, between columbia and main. i’m just wondering if you have any historical pictures of that particular block. and if you do, can you post them please! thanks!

Searching Library and Archives Canada at www.collectionscanada.gc.ca unfortunately only comes up with a few results having anything to do with Pender Street in Vancouver:

Also unfortunate is that only the one image (Bekins Building) is available for online viewing so far, and not enough information is listed to determine if they are the block you are working on.

If not already following, you should check out Past Tense Vancouver’s tumblr, as the name suggests, all that is posted is historical material relating to just Vancouver. Hopefully you have better luck there.
